Lauren stops by Dean & Deluca looking for Ben. Felicity tells her it's his day off. She asks Lauren if everything is ok. Lauren says she's leaving early for Arizona - tomorrow- and Ben promised he'd help her pack up her car. Felicity says she'll tell Ben. Lauren says at this point she's doing everything herself. Felicity says it must be hard and tells Lauren she's sorry. Lauren says, "No you're not." She tells Felicity not to pretend like she cares. Felicity tells Lauren that she does care. Lauren tells Felicity to have Ben call her and starts to walk away. Felicity stops her and asks Lauren if she has a problem with her. Lauren says that Felicity and Ben are two incredibly selfish people. Felicity asks Lauren if she expects them to just move to Arizona. Lauren tells Felicity to tell Ben to call her and leaves. Felicity asks Javier if he heard her conversation with Lauren. Felicity can't believe Lauren thinks she and Ben are selfish after everything that Lauren has done. She says she doesn't care if Lauren is pregnant - she doesn't like her. Javier says he doesn't like her either. Pointing from his head down to his feet, Javier says, "I hope she gets a stretch mark from here down to there."

Felicity wants to confess and tell her professor that she copied someone else's work. Meghan tells Felicity that she feels bad now, but she'll feel worse if she doesn't graduate. Felicity says if she lets them publish the paper they'll kick her out for sure. She hopes that by telling the truth they'll take pity on her.

Noel reveals to Sean that he and Zoe haven't had sex yet. Sean tells him it's a bad sign - it suggests trouble in a relationship. Noel asks if Sean has become Dr. Drew (from Loveline) all of a sudden. Noel says that he and Zoe like one another - they're just busy with work. It's a logistics thing. Sean tells Noel that the beginning is the best part of the relationship - it's never going to be like that again. They've been dating for about 5 weeks. Sean tells Noel he's got about 10 more days before the relationship goes sour and the good part ends.

Richard invites Elena to a 'Save the World' event to make a girl he's interested in jealous. Elena agrees after Richard begs her to go with him. She tells him she's only doing it because he's pathetic and she feels sorry for him.

Felicity attempts to tell her professor the truth about the paper, but she's too wrapped up in her own problems to talk to Felicity. She tells Felicity that she's looked at Felicity's transcript and her grades are impeccable. She assures Felicity that she has nothing to worry about.

Felicity returns to the loft. Lauren is waiting outside for Ben. She asks Lauren if she wants to come upstairs. Lauren tells her Ben knows she's there. Felicity tells Ben Lauren's waiting for him. Ben is tying his shoelaces. He tells Felicity he knows Lauren's waiting. Felicity asks why he has to help her. She asks if Lauren has any friends - she's lived in the city for months. Ben tells her it's only going to be for a couple of hours. He asks if she wants to see a movie when he gets back. Felicity says ok. Ben kisses her on the cheek and tells her he should be back by 5 o'clock.

It's after 6pm and Ben hasn't returned home. Felicity wonders where he is. The phone rings. Meghan is told that Ben has been in a car accident. Felicity rushes down to the hospital and is told that Ben is in surgery. Lauren's ok - with minor head injury. Felicity asks what happened. Lauren tells her someone come from nowhere and ran right into them. Felicity overhears a doctor telling Lauren that because her blood alcohol level was over the legal limit, the police were going to come and talk to her. Felicity is outraged.

Richard and Elena arrive at the 'Save the World' event. Richard tells Elena that the girl he likes is going to be impressed that he's there with a black chick. He tells her it doesn't get anymore politically correct than that. Elena can't believe Richard invited her because she's black. He tells her it makes him look culturally diverse. Elena punches him in the eye. Richard falls to the floor. Elena storms out as a crowd gathers around Richard. Later, Richard yells at her for giving him a black eye. Elena tells him he deserves a lot worse. He tells her she has anger issues. She accuses him of being racist. He tells her to take that back. She tells him he used her because she's black. He says he thought it was a good thing because he was trying to impress somebody. He tells her she should be flattered - it's not like she's really black. He tells her she's black, but not really black. He poses like a stereotypical rapper. He says she doesn't have any black friends, she dates a white guy and she doesn't like Spike Lee movies. Elena yells at Richard and tells him to get out of her apartment. Richard tells her not to shoot the messenger - he's just telling it like it is.

Lauren is released from the hospital. Felicity follows her outside and asks where she's going. Lauren tells her she's going to the impound - all of her stuff is in the car. Felicity asks if she's coming back - Ben is still in surgery. Lauren says she doesn't know. Felicity tells Lauren that she's the one who's selfish and that she doesn't think about anyone but herself. Lauren says she doesn't need to explain herself to Felicity. Lauren gets into a taxicab. Felicity tells Lauren that she feels sorry for the baby she's going to have because it has her for a mother. Felicity goes back inside the hospital and is able to see Ben. He's still unconscious. Felicity holds Ben's hand and cries as she sits in a chair beside his bed.

After meeting with a client, Sean suggests Noel go over to Zoe's place. Noel tells Sean that she's tired - she has to be at the office every morning at 6:30. Sean says they're way too young to be too tired to have sex. Noel says he knows Zoe likes him, but there's something wrong - he just doesn't know what it is. Sean asks if she's ever said that she's just not in the mood. Noel says, "no." Sean tells Noel to just show up at her place with flowers and wine. Noel takes Sean's advice and shows up at Zoe's place with wine, flowers and ice cream. At first Zoe thinks Noel is romantic, but then asks him to leave when he asks why they haven't had sex yet. She tells him she's not in the mood.

Lauren returns to the hospital and asks Felicity how Ben's doing. Felicity tells her he still hasn't woken up yet. Lauren tells her she got her stuff, but her car is totaled. She tells Felicity that all this time she's been trying to find someone to blame for all of the things that have gone wrong in her life, but she now realizes that she has no one to blame but herself. She apologizes to Felicity. She asks Felicity if she can see Ben with her. Later, Felicity starts to fall asleep. Lauren tells her it's late - she should probably go home and get some sleep. Felicity says she's going to stay the night with Ben. Lauren says she's going to get a hotel room. Felicity tells her she can stay at her place.

Lauren says it must be hard for Felicity to deal everything that's happened. Lauren says she put Felicity in an impossible position. Felicity says she just wishes she would have done things differently. Lauren says she wishes she had too.

The next morning Ben wakes up and squeezes Felicity's hand. She'd fallen asleep holding his hand. He says, "Hi." Felicity smiles and says, "Hi."

Meghan, Sean, Elena, Noel, and Javier have been sitting in the hospital lobby waiting for news about Ben. Felicity tells them that he's awake. He lost a lot of blood, but the doctor says he's going to be fine.

Felicity goes to meet with her professor and the UNY Journal board. Her professor tells her that one of the board members says he can't remember the name of the student's thesis she copied. Felicity says his name is Ryan Baer. Felicity says she should have told her sooner. Felicity says she's so sorry - she knows Professor Carnes put her reputation on the line for her. Felicity says that she's incredibly embarrassed. Professor Carnes tells her that she should be. She tells Felicity this means she has to fail her. Professor Carnes says, "You're a senior, right?" Felicity tells her she's supposed to graduate at the end of the year. Professor Carnes tells Felicity she's going to have to think about this.

Richard stops by the apartment to see Elena. He apologizes for being offensive and racist. He tells her he thinks his eye is infected. It's swollen and purple. Elena apologizes for hitting him. Richard says he deserved it - he was insensitive. She tells him that she loves her friends, but it must mean something that they're all white. She says she thinks that she wants people to see that she fits in - that she's just like everyone else. She tells him that's how she got through high school. She tells him she guesses she's still trying to prove that she's not different. Richard says that all he wants is to be different. He says he's just a white boy - how lame is that - he couldn't be more generic. He says the Star Wars conventions are like his African-American house. It makes him feel like he belongs - like he's special - a part of something. He tells her she's got that already built in. She says she hasn't been to the African-American house since freshman year. Richard says he'll go with her if she wants him to. He says he's down with the brothas. Elena tells him to stop. He says, "I've got it goin' on sista. I'm funky fresh. Have you seen my moves?" Elena laughs and tells him she's going to hit him again.

Noel says it seems like Zoe isn't attracted to him and tells her he doesn't think it's going to work out. She tells him she's completely attracted to him. He says that she pulls away every time he tries to get close to her. Zoe explains to Noel that she hasn't been in the mood for sex because she's been depressed. She'd been taking medication for her depression, but then stopped taking it when she started dating him. She said she felt great being with him and thought she didn't need them anymore. She says that she's back on the medication - and she should be ok in a couple weeks. She asks if that changes his mind or if it makes him really not want to go out with her. Noel says he wants to go out with her - he had no idea. He tells her he didn't mean to rush her and they can wait as long as she needs. She tells Noel that seeing him is the best part of her day. They kiss.

Felicity returns to the apartment. Lauren's gone, but she's left a note for Felicity thanking her for letting her stay last night. She says seeing Felicity face her problems and her, made her think that she could face her problems too. She says the morning came, the baby kicked and she had to leave. She doesn't know where exactly. She asks Felicity to tell Ben that she'll call him as soon as she's settled. Felicity returns to the hospital to visit Ben.
