Max and Isabel are bored trying to find something decent to watch on tv. Isabel's had enough and decides to dreamwalk and use her powers find out what people are dreaming about. Max tells her it's not a very nice thing to do. Isabel tells him it's harmless. Max asks her to stay away from Liz. Isabel goes to her room and thumbs through pages of her yearbook. She places her and on Liz's photo. Liz is dreaming of being swept off her feet by some guy that doesn't exist in her reality - Brad , while Max watches in the background. Isabel sighs and comments that even Liz's romantic dreams are boring. She says Kyle has to be more interesting, so she dreamwalks Klye. He's dreaming about meditating and accepting that he's different ever since Max healed him. Isabel is warped into what seems like someone else's dream. She looks around and asks who's dream it is. A girl is dragged along the ground in the woods screaming for help from a body bag. Isabel sees her face, but doesn't recognize her. The girl has long blond hair like Isabel. Isabel wakes and sits up in her bed horrified.

Valenti is being questioned by the state police board about the shooting that took place nearly a year ago after the UFO Convention. The investigator happens to be an old friend of Valenti. He tells Valenti he has a statement that says the man Valenti shot was last seen in a car with Max Evans. Valenti lies and tells him Max wasn't there.

Kyle and Tess are at the Crashdown Café. Tess is drenching her dessert with Tabasco sauce. Kyle asks to taste it. He wonders if he's developing any alien characteristics like extremely sweet food mixed with extremely spicy. He's weirded out when he discovers that it isn't so gross, in fact he thinks it's almost tasty. Tess tells him to have some more. Kyle tells her he can't - he's not ready to be a half human, half alien freak-a-zoid. Tess says she prefers the term hybrid. Kyle says he never asked for this. Tess says Max could have let him die. She asks Kyle if that's what he would have wanted. He tells Tess he needs some help. Tess tells him she doesn't know what's going to happen to him - maybe nothing will happen.

Isabel and Max go to Sheriff Valenti to tell him about the dream. She tells him she usually chooses the dreams she goes into, but this one just came to her. She doesn't think it was a dream. Valenti suggests it was someone's nightmare. Isabel says it felt real. Max tells Valenti that when Tess was being tortured Isabel had flashes of her - that's how she knew Tess was in danger and they were able to save her life. He tells Valenti they should check into this. Valenti tells them it's hard to look for a missing girl without a name or a face, however he'll look into it.

Liz tells Maria she needs help -she's an obsessed person. Maria asks if this is a general freak out or if she should be concerned. Liz says she has Max on her brain 24 hours a day - she dreams about him, thinks about him and mentions his friggin name without even realizing it. Maria tells Liz she's just in love. Liz says she knows, but it's not getting her anywhere. Maria tells her to relax - it's not that bad. Liz pulls out two wallet size photos of Max that she's been carrying around. Maria declares her a Maxoholic and asks what she can do. Liz asks Maria to get her a life. In walks Maria's juvenile delinquent cousin Sean Deluca. Maria asks if he broke out. He laughs and tells her he was released early for good behavior. He just stopped in to say hello and inform Maria that her mom has agreed to let him live with them. Liz looks at him starry-eyed.

Isabel has another flash of the missing girl while she's at the movies with Grant. She tells Valenti that the girl is in trouble and she's going to die. Valenti says that no one's been reported missing, he doesn't know what she looks like and he doesn't have any leads. Isabel says she saw the girl's car - it's silver. Valenti asks if she saw the license plates. Isabel says 'no.' Isable says it's a Honda, Toyota, or something - she's not good with cars. Valenti says he'll start looking through the abandoned vehicle reports to see if anything has turned up. Valenti stops by the Crashdown before he heads into the office. He runs into an old friend and finds out that her daughter left on a road trip to visit some friends in Santa Fe yesterday and hasn't called home yet. The woman says her daughter usually calls. Valenti remembers that the woman's daughter drives a silver car. The woman confirms that it's a Toyota. Valenti thinks the woman's daughter might be the missing girl. She goes with Valenti down to the police station. He shows a photo of the girl to Isabel. She tells Valenti the hair is the right color - she's not certain because she never saw the girl in the flashes clearly, but she thinks it's the girl.

Sean stops by the Crashdown for a burger. Maria shares a few house rules with him. Rule#1 - Toilet seat is left down. Rule#2 - Underwear are not left on the floor. Rule#3 - Milk is poured into a glass - not directly consumed by the carton. Rule#4 - Leave Liz alone. Sean asks if there are many more rules. Maria says she'll write them down for him - assuming he can read. She tells Sean that Liz is way, way, way off limits to him. She tells him she saw the way he looked at Liz when he said to her 'All grown up, I like it.' Maria tells him it's not going to happen. She explains that Liz is in a very delicate and fragile place in her life right now. Maria tells Sean she'll have the list to him by the end of the day.

Isabel has another flash of the missing girl while trying to take a nap. The girl is screaming for help and Grant is dragging a heavy bag in the woods. Isabel screams. Valenti attempts to get a warrant to search Grant's belongings. He's denied because of lack of evidence. He can't for obvious reasons reveal his source of information. Valenti goes without a warrant to search Grant's belongings. Grant warns him not to touch anything. Valenti asks what's in the long dark bag. He wants Grant to open it so he can see what's inside. Grant says he won't open the bag. Valenti forcefully tells Grant to step aside. Valenti opens the bag expecting to find the girl's body, but its's just equipment.

The state police investigator is very suspicious of Valenti since he disappears for days and he's been spending lots of time with teenagers lately. They get into a screaming match about Valenti's rights as an officer of the law. The investigator says if Valenti isn't careful he'll end up like his father and lose is badge. The daughter of Valenti's old friend comes to his office to find out why he was looking for her.

Valenti tells Max and Isabel the news. Isabel apologizes. She doesn't know how she could have been so wrong. Valenti reminds her that she has gifts that the rest of them don't and if anything like this happens again, he wants her to come to him. He tells them not to worry about him.

Valenti's superiors want to know what's wrong with him. He conducted an illegal search after he was denied a warrant. Grant Sorensen has filed a 15 million dollar civil suit against the city. Valenti says that ruining Grant's stupid experiment will get laughed out of court. Valenti says he was wrong - he had a hunch and he had to follow it. The mother of the mistakenly missing girl said Valenti had 2 witnesses. Valenti says he did have 2 witnesses, but he can't reveal them. The investigator asks if the witnesses are Max and Isabel Evans. Valenti assures them this case has nothing to do with Max and Isabel.

Max yells at Isabel for being wrong about the missing girl. He tells her that Valenti might lose his job because of them. Isabel says maybe she needed the girl to be missing. She wanted to be able to do something good for a change after all the hurt and pain they've caused. Max reminds her that she saved his life and no matter what happens, he'll always believe in her.

Maria's cousin Sean comes to the Crashdown and asks to get some fries. Michael tells him they're closed. Liz tells him she thinks the fryer is still warm - she offers to whip him up some fries. He tells her it's okay - he'll get something at home. Maria reminds him that it's not his home. She tells him to stop calling it that - he's just passing through.

Isabel goes to sleep and has another flash of the the bag in the woods and the girl screaming and telling someone 'You don't have to do this.' Isabel screams out loud and says the same. Max rushes into her room and wakes her up. They go to Valenti again. This time Isabel knows where the girl is. Max tells Valenti she's in Frazier Woods outside an abandoned shack. They go to the woods with flashlights and find buried tubing leading to oxygen tanks. They find the girl buried. Gun shots are fired at them. Max uses his powers to put up a green shield. Valenti shoots at the masked attacker. The police investigator appears from behind and asks what Valenti is shooting at. Valenti tells him the girl's kidnapper. The girl, Lori, says she had come down to Roswell to visit her grandparents when her kidnapper came up behind her on the street. She never saw his face. Valenti tells her they'll have someone watch over her around the clock until her parents arrive. She asks him how he knew to find her. He tells her someone heard her cry out for help. The investigator asks Valenti how he found the girl. Valenti tells him 'good police work.' The investigator doesn't believe him. He asks what Max and Isabel were doing out there with him. Valenti says they were just along for the ride. He tells Valenti that taking 2 minors on a ride-along is enough to get him suspended. He tells Valenti that he's going to find out what ever it is that he's covering up. Lori thanks Isabel for saving her life. Isabel takes her hand. She gets a flash of what looks like some kind of genetic information. Lori is taken away in an ambulance. Isabel tells him there's something about Lori - it's like she knows her.
