Michael has a nightmare that he and Max are being chased by alien hunters who've killed Isabel. He awakes drenched in sweat and trembling with fear. He grabs the bag of bribe money given to him and Maria by Laurie Dupree's evil aunt and uncle and goes to see Max. He tells Max he needs a vacation or he's going to lose it on someone or something. Max tells him they need to have a secret plan. Michael tells Max they're going to a place without rules or responsibility, where they can forget all of their troubles, the city of dreams - Vegas.
Michael and Max's attempts to keep their trip a secret fail. The entire gang finds out about it. Liz is not thrilled about going to Vegas. Future Max told her that she and Max had gotten married at the Elvis Chapel when they were 19. Maria tells her that since they changed the events that would lead to that future event, Liz has to let it go and create her own memories.
When they arrive in Vegas and are escorted to their luxury hotel suite, Michael uses his powers to change their identities on their id's to make them all 21. His plan is to spend all of the Dupree money($50,000) He gives them each $3,000. They are to spend all of the cash in Vegas. They hit the casinos. The security guard lets everyone in except Tess and Liz gain entrance. They look much younger than the others and their aliases, Pina Colada and Shirley Temple are so ridiculous. They spend the majority of their time in the video arcade next to the Elvis Chapel.
Alex loses his $3,000 on one bet. Maria auditions for what she thinks is a spot to sing in a club, but later discovers she's auditioned to be a stripper. Isabel meets a guy and plans to have sex with him, but then can't go through with it. Michael uses his powers and cheats at the betting table. Max is disappointed in Michael for using his powers to cheat. The casino staff become suspicious after a while and give Michael a new set of dice. He continues to win. Michael punches a guy when he and Max are told to cash out and go someplace else to gamble. They're thrown in jail and later call Maria to bail them out. Max has had enough of sin city and decides to leave on the next flight to Roswell. He stops by the arcade to say goodbye to Liz. As he gets into a taxi he sees a couple who've just gotten married and then has a flash of him and Liz after their wedding. Later he returns and has dinner with the gang and slow dances with Liz as Maria sings on stage and entertains the crowd. He tells Liz about the vision he had and how it seemed like a real memory. Liz is about to tell him that it was real, but she changes her mind.
The gang returns to their hotel suite where Valenti has been waiting for them. He yells at them for not letting him know where they were going. He was worried sick that something alien-related had happened to them. The apologize for worrying him. He makes Kyle and Tess ride home with him and orders the others to be on the next flight to Roswell.
